Galvanized Mirror
This outdoor mirror was part of an HGTV Ideas magazine article called The Peaceful Garden, which included plans for a tub water garden, outdoor altars, and a series of make-your-own wind chimes -- everything necessary for you to completely, peacefully, lose yourself in your own back yard.

I was so inspired by Robb Whittlef’s trash-to-treasure garden mirror on HGTV’s Decorating Cents that I had to try my own.

I started with an old wooden mirror I found at a thrift store. I used outdoor sealer to protect the parts of the frame that would be exposed to the elements. Then I created a paper pattern, cut galvanized steel to match the pattern, and tacked it in place. Cool, eh?
